A Message from our President, Tom Keeler - June/July 2009

The dog days of summer mean the end of the fiscal year for AAF Madison. I thoroughly enjoyed my term as President, and hope the year was as rewarding for our members as it was for me.

The 2008-09 Board of Directors accomplished a lot over the past 12 months including the rebranding of the club from Madison Ad Fed to AAF Madison, a complete redesign and relaunch of our website to aafmadison.org, and the hiring of our new Association Management firm The Capitol Group. In addition, we launched an aggressive legislative effort to oppose the repeal of the sales tax exemption for advertising, and because of this, we now have a system in place to address future legislative issues confronting our industry. Annual Meeting Recap
The Ad 2 Madison Annual Club Meeting was held on June 24, 2009. There were approximately 40 people in attendance. Ad 2 members and guests learned about social media from Suzanne Fanning, Director of Communications for Fiskars, the Finnish tools manufacturer. Read more.

Madison Children's Museum (MCM) invites graphic artists to participate in MCM's new logo design contest.
With the opening of the new Children's Museum in 2010, MCM seeks a new logomark to symbolize the institution as it moves into its new facility, which will accommodate a broader age range (children from birth to age 12). Read more.
