A Message from our President, Tom Keeler - May 2009


Earlier this month, I received a call from the former District 8 (D8) Governor of AAF (representing all AAF chapters in Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota) to ask if I would be interested in serving on the D8 Board of Directors. My initial reaction was typical, "I am too busy," or "I am not sure I want to take on this responsibility." But after giving it some thought, I found my initial reaction to be shortsighted.

Saying no to this four-year commitment culminating as District Governor, would be a missed opportunity for me personally, and a missed opportunity for Madison, a cornerstone club, to be represented at the District level.

I also found my initial reaction to be hypocritical, since at the time I was actively recruiting members to serve on the 2009-2010 AAF Madison Board of Directors.

Ad 2 Madison Wins Club Achievement Awards
For the fifth consecutive year, Ad 2 Madison will be taking home awards at this summer’s American Advertising Federation national conference. Ad 2 Madison has won numerous club achievement awards in past years, and in 2009 has been announced as the second-place winner in Diversity, Programs, and Club Operations categories, as well as the third-place winner in the Education category. Select members will be traveling to Washington D.C. in June to compete in the Public Service competition.
